The Power of Taxonomies: Using Tagging to Enhance Content Discoverability

How many times do you discover duplicated content in your site? How often do you find yourself linking endlessly from one section of your site to another in order to make passageways for users between two different areas for similar content? This session will explain how creating, extending and using multiple taxonomies to tag content types can: 1) help reduce or eliminate senseless duplication, 2) allow re-cycling of content through views which aggregate like tags into single locations, 3) reduce content editor work time and errors, and 4) improve user experience of your site content by enhancing discoverability. Examples will be used from UGA School of Law's current D7 website, and plans from our upcoming site re-design in D8 will be shared as well.
